Visit of PSB Youth Volleyball & Badminton teams to China

Islamabad: May 27, 2015: PSB Youth Volleyball & Badminton teams will visit Beijing, China on training-cum-competition tour from 28th May to 8th June, 2015. Pakistan Sports Board organized Youth Tournaments in collaboration with the Inter Board Committee of Chairman during the current financial year. Talented sportspersons were selected by the respective Selection Committees for further training under the supervision of qualified coaches. Both the camps were in progress at PSC, Islamabad till 27th May, 2015.

PSB requested Chinese Cultural Counselor to arrange the visit of Youth Sports Teams to China under the existing MOU for bilateral sports cooperation between the two countries. He agreed the request of Dr. M. Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera, Director General (Technical & Training), Pakistan Sports Board, Islamabad. Both teams will consist 19-sportspersons. Youth teams will get training-cum-competition in Beijing Sports University. The General Administration of Sports of China will be responsible for the local expenses including accommodation, food and training fee. PSB will bear the expenses of international air tickets. The names of both the teams are as under: -

Volleyball and Badminton Youth Camps were supervised by Mr. Muhammad Azam Dar, Director, National Federations and Mr. Muhammad Shahid, Deputy Director General (Academics), Pakistan Sports Board, Islamabad

The Chinese Cultural Attaché, Simin Chen visited Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad today and inspected both the camps. She impressed from skill and technique of the players. She met the player’s alongwith Dr. M. Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera, Director General (Technical & Training), PSB.
