Closing Ceremony of Pakistan Inter Board Sports 2014


Islamabad: February 27, 2014, Pakistan Inter Board Sports 2014 reached to its destination. Director General Pakistan Sports Board Dr. M. Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera chaired a dignified closing ceremony at Jinnah Stadium on 27th February, 2014. He distributed the prizes and trophies to the winners. The ceremony started with the recitation of Holy Quran.

In Men’s event, Board of Intermediate Secondary Education Lahore clinched First position by getting 06 Gold, 04 Silver, 02 Bronze secured 196 points followed by BISE Abbottabad at second position with 04 Gold, 03 Silver and 06 Bronze securing 153 points while BISE Peshawar got third position with 04 Gold, 02 Silver and 03 Bronze securing 139 points.

In the Females event, Faisalabad Board retained its supremacy and got First position by securing 205 points with 06 Gold, 04 Silver and 04 Bronze medals. Gujranwala Board got second position securing 144 points with 06 Gold, 03 Silver and 03 Bronze medals. Sahiwal Board was forced to content for Third position by gaining 133 points with 01 Gold, 04 Silver and 01 Bronze medal. Mehreen Khan of Gujranwala Board declared as the best athlete of the event as she got 05 Gold in Athletics.  

Faisalabad got the titles of Badminton and Volleyball by defeating Islamabad and Sahiwal Board respectively. Overall medal tally is as under :-
