A 12-member Mountaineering group of China and Pakistan met with Federal Minister of IPC/President, PSB


Islamabad, 26th July, 2012: A 12-member Mountaineering group comprising six climbers from China Mountaineering Association (CMA) headed by Mr. Luo Shen and six climbers from Alpine Club of Pakistan under the leadership of Lt. Col ® Dr. Abdul Jabbar Bhatti met Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Honourable Federal Minister for IPC/President, Pakistan Sports Board on 26-07-2012 at 12:30 in the committee room of Pakistan Sports Board.

Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Honourable Federal Minister for IPC/President, PSB welcomed the guests and greeted them on completion of the expedition of Spantik Peak just in 11 days. He expressed that Pakistan and China are time tested friends. He said that more Chinese climbers will come for more expeditions as Pakistan has most beautiful challenging peaks for the mountaineers. He was optimistic that all the facilities and assistance would have been provided to them. He asked the guests to tell if any uplift is required in respect of facilities for such expeditions in future. He told that MOU has been signed between Pakistan and China for cooperation and development of sports. Keeping the spirit of the MOU the activities will be kept on. In the end souvenirs were exchanged.
