Islamabad: March 25, 2014, In a meeting held today at Karachi, Federal Secretary Ministry of IPC, Ijaz Chaudry and Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui (Rep of Sindh Provincial Government) which was also attended by Director General PSB Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera resolved an old dispute of land of Pakistan Sports Board with Sindh Government. The disputed land was purchased from Defence Ministry on payment for Rs.3,782,000.00  to construct Karachi Sports Complex on an area of 17,125 sq yards. Excavation of basement, construction of retaining walls, pilling work of the commercial section, construction of major portion of basement and some portion of ground floor of commercial section was already carried out. But the dispute arose when Sindh Government claimed ownership of the land.

The Sindh Government has now agreed to a long drawn demand of the Federal Government that an alternative place be given to Pakistan Sports Board in lieu of the disputed piece of land. Pakistan Sports Board shall construct Karachi Sports Complex on the alternative land.

In the same meeting it was decided that training camps for Sindh’s teams will begin at Karachi Coaching Center. It was also agreed that Sindh Government will prepare teams for participation for the proposed Prime Minister's Talent Hunt Games to be held at Islamabad.
