2nd and 3rd Days of Pakistan Inter Board Sports 2014


Islamabad 24th February, 2014: On the third day of Pakistan Inter Board Sports 2014 competitions are going on at Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad. In 110m hurdles men’s event Mr. Mujahid Hussain of Abbottabad Board won the Gold medal by completing the race in 15.32 seconds while Mr. Abdul Wahab of Peshawar Board got silver medal and Mr. Muhammad Zeeshan of Abbottabad Board won Bronze medal with the timings of 15.45 and 15.88 seconds respectively. 

Sami Ullah of Peshawar Board won Gold medal in 200m race while Shanakht of Lahore and Shehbaz of Abbottabad won Silver and Bronze medal respectively. 

M. Ismail of Lahore Board won 1500m race while Maroof Younas of Sargodha and Aqib Javed of Abbottabad won Silver and Bronze medals respectively. 

Peshawar Board won the Gold medal in the event of 4x400 M Relay race while Gujranwala and Peshawar Board won Silver and Bronze medals. 

In Shot-Put event, Mr. Billal Shahid of Faisalabad Board won the Gold medal with a throw of 12.74m while Mr. Muhammad Usman from Sargodha Board obtained Silver Medal with a distance of 10.85m and    Mr. Zohaib Khan of Peshawar Board got Bronze medal with a distance of 10.68m. 

The athlete of Abbottabad Board Mr. Muhammad Afzal got first position in triple jump where as Mr. Adeel of Lahore and Mr. Sami Ullah of Peshawar got second and third position respectively. 

In 4x100m Relay race, the team of Peshawar Board clinched the Gold medal while teams of Abbottabad and Lahore got Silver and Bronze medals respectively.

In 400m race Mr. Sami Ullah of Peshawar won Gold medal while Ghaus Muhammad from Abbottabad and Mr. Fakhar of Gujrnawala Board grabbed Silver and Bronze medals respectively. 

In the Quarter final competitions of Table Tennis the players of Swat, Gujrnawala, Lahore and Islamabad qualified for semi-finals by defeating the teams of Mardan, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad and Peshawar respectively. In Semi-finals teams of Gujranawala and Islamabad paved their entry in to final by defeating their opponents from Lahore and Swat Boards. In final match Gujranawala Board lifted the trophy by defeating Islamabad Board with a margin of 3-1.    
In Volley ball event Lahore Board of Technical Education defeated Bannu with a margin of 2-1 and Multan Board defeated Karachi in a one sided match with a margin 2-0. 

In Basketball event, teams of Abottabad, Larkana, Lahore,  Swat won their quarter finals matches against Malakand, Gujranwala, Multan and Faisalabad to qualify for semi final. In semi final matches, Malakand and Faisalabad won their matches against Gujranwala and Lahore Board. Faisalabad Board won the final match against Malakand by 68-61 and clinched the trophy.
