Islamabad: 22 April, 2017:  A meeting was held in the Committee Room of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), Islamabad on 22nd April, 2017 at 1100 hours to discuss the organizational arrangements of  2nd Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Games at Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad from 5- 9 May, 2017 with the Honorary Secretaries of the concerned National Sports Federations.

Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera, Director General, PSB chaired the meeting. The Chairman after welcome address, appreciated the dedicated efforts of the National Sports Federations contributed by them last year for the successful organization of the  1st Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Games. The Chair also added that the objective of organizing this mega sports event was to promote national integration, cohesion and expressed the hope that with the cooperation and collaboration of all stakeholders, we would be successful in achieving this objective.  Responding to the Director General PSB, all National Sports Federations assured their full co-operation for successful holding of the Games. ​Before taking up the agenda items, colours and designs of the Track Suits proposed for different Provinces/Regions and Technical Officials of the concerned National Sports Federations were placed before the participants.  The participants agreed with the colour scheme and designs of track suits for technical officials proposed by PSB.​​On the request of Pakistan Karate Federation, one event each in men +84 event and women +68 event has been included in karate discipline.​It was discussed that the payment of cash awards to the medal winners will be made by PSB as under: -

Rs.10,000/- each
Rs.7,000/- each
Rs.5,000/- each

The Chairman briefed the representatives of the concerned National Sports Federation regarding proposed strength of the Technical Officials for their respective disciplines to be contested in the Games.  After detailed discussion and deliberation the strength of Technical Officials was finalized according to their requirements.  Strength of Technical Officials is as under: -

The matter regarding provision of track suits and joggers for technical officials was discussed in the House and it was decided that all the concerned National Sports Federation will nominate qualified Technical Officials with the detailed particulars i.e. names, ID numbers, address, bio-data and cell numbers, so that all necessary arrangements could be made by PSB well in time. ​

The Technical Officials will be nominated at the ratio i.e. 40% out station and 60% local.  On the request of participants, it was decided the accommodation to the Technical Officials will be provided either in Pakistan Sports Complex or in one hotel.​​The respective Federation should nominate a Focal Person and his name should be intimated to Pakistan Sports Board by 24th April, 2017.  The Technical Officials should report PSB three days before the commencement of the Games.  The Technical Officials should also participate in the March Past of the Opening Ceremony of the Games.​ Pakistan Sports Board will also provide Volunteers to the concerned National Sports Federation as per their demand.​

The Chairman apprised the House regarding availability of facilities and asked the participants of concerned National Sports Federations to prepare a comprehensive plan and also decorate these venues for holding their disciplines in a befitting manner. The venue will be decided by the Focal Persons of Federations in consultation with the Deputy Director General (Facilities), PSB.  The Chair advised DDG (Facilities) for extending his full cooperation in provision/preparation of venues allocated for concerned Federations.​

After threadbare discussion pertains to quality, brand and quantity of sports equipments required for successful conduct of the Games, it was decided that the same will be arranged by the Facilities Wing of PSB, subject to provision of demand to PSB by concerned Federations. ​All the concerned National Federations are required to discuss and decide their respective venues in consultation with the DDG (Facilities) PSB at the earliest possible, so that other arrangements could be made in time. 

​​The Tabulation Committee has already been constituted and the Office of the Committee will be established at Jinnah Stadium, Sports Complex, Islamabad for the purpose.  All the Technical Officials of respective Federations would provide the results on top priority basis to the said Committee for recording and announcement.

​After thorough discussions in connection with the seating arrangements for Technical Officials and Staff of the Games, it was decided that the Facilities Wing of PSB will make all necessary arrangement in consultation with the Focal Person of the concerned Sports Federations for the smooth conduct of the Games well in time.
