Pakistan Inter Board Sports, 2012 organized by the Pakistan Sports Board in collaboration with Inter Board Sports Committee of Chairmen at Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad from 12-18 December, 2012 in the following discipline:-

Before the start of the event, a Refresher Course for Technical Officials was organized from 10 – 11 December 2012 at Jinnah Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad. Certified instructors in their relevant disciplines delivered lectures to update the knowledge of the officiating technical officials who were deputed to conduct various competitions.
The qualifying rounds of competitions in football, hockey and volleyball were organized from 12 – 14 December 2012. The semi finals and finals were held from 15 – 16 December 2012 at various venues of Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad. The other competitions for boys in athletics, badminton and table tennis were held from 15 – 16 December 2012 at Jinnah Stadium, Rodham and Hameedi Hall respectively.
The opening ceremony was organized after conclusion of qualifying rounds on 15th December 2012 at 02:00 PM in which Malik Azmat Khan, Minister of State for IPC was Chief Guest and Mr. Fareedullah Khan, Secretary, IPC was Guest of Honour accompanied by Mr. Abdul Ghaffar Khan, Joint Secretary (Sports), IPC and Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera, Director General (Tech & Trg), PSB. The colorful opening ceremony was started with recitation from Holy Quran followed by the programme given below:-

Performance of Ludi, Bhangra on drum beat followed by Martial Art display by school children. Thereafter, final of 4x100 meters relay was held in front of Chief Guest followed by victory stand ceremony graced by Mr. Fareedullah Khan, Secretary IPC. |
The opening ceremony of female events was organized on 17th December, 2012 at 03:00pm. Mr. Ramzan Achakzai, Secretary, IBCC was the Chief Guest. The ladies events were organized from 17-18 December, 2012.

This is the first time in the history of Pakistan Sports that such lucrative cash awards were given to athletes at Inter Board Sports competitions level. The athletes whole-heartedly appreciated Pakistan Sports Board’s initiative for awarding them cash prizes.
The cash prizes were introduced with an objective to motivate and encourage the upcoming young athletes, so that they might rose from obscurity to national & international acclaim and bring glory and honor for the country in future international competitions.
The winning trophies of boys and girls were awarded to the Boards on 18th December, 2012 at the colourful closing ceremony held at Liaquat Gymnasium, PSB. Mir Hazar Khan Bajarani, Federal Minister for IPC/President, PSB was chief guest on the occasion. He highly appreciated the organization of Games and directed that such competitions should be organized periodically. After the ceremony, dinner was served, followed by music performance and spectacular firework at football ground.
